Two race cars are parked in a lot with open hoods, and two people are working on the cars. The cars are orange and black with the number 4 and the logo 'WRS' on the sides. The setting appears to be a racetrack paddock area on a sunny day.

Building Opportunity for the next generation of racers

The Carolina Future Racers Foundation was created to give young drivers a real path forward — from go-karts and grassroots racing to Late Model competition and beyond.
Our mission is simple: remove financial barriers, provide real equipment and coaching, and help motivated kids earn their way toward professional racing opportunities.

our approach

We combine professional-level racing resources with real-world accountability.
Every driver supported by CFRF must maintain good grades, demonstrate leadership, and give back to their community.
In return, they gain seat time, equipment access, and coaching from experienced crew chiefs and drivers who know what it takes to win — on and off the track.

the team behind the foundation

Led by founder Mitch Lash, the Carolina Future Racers Foundation brings together professional experience in motorsports and youth development.
With veteran crew chief Eric Wilson and racing legend Dean Combs, and his grandson Dylon Wilson advising, our team ensures each young driver receives not just opportunity — but guidance rooted in discipline, teamwork, and safety.
